National Scholarship Portal
Many central and some state scholarships are applied through the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in.
Typical steps
- Register with Aadhaar and a mobile number
- Fill the application for the scheme you are eligible for
- Institute verifies (Level 1)
- District or state verifies (Level 2)
- Amount is paid by direct benefit transfer if approved
Deadlines change each year. In recent cycles many NSP applications closed around 31 October. Confirm the current date on the portal. Do not pay anyone to “fast-track” a free scholarship.
Check eligibility and deadlines
Verify income criteria, institute recognition, document requirements and application status using the official scholarship portal. Do not pay unknown intermediaries for purported guaranteed awards.
Practical checklist
- Identify your exact course, exam or objective, since requirements differ.
- Check primary information from the relevant official organization; note its publication date.
- Save documents or examples you need and verify unfamiliar claims before acting.
- Use the PrimePupil contact form to flag unclear, outdated or incorrect information.
Update reminder: This page is educational guidance. Eligibility, examination formats and scheme terms can change; the official announcement takes precedence.
