How to Use a 15-Day Quick Revision Plan

A short revision window is for consolidating what you already know, not learning an entire syllabus from scratch.

A practical method you can use today

Days 1–3: list chapters by confidence and test each with 10–15 unseen MCQs. Days 4–10: alternate a weak chapter with one strong chapter, and revise formulas or definitions before questions. Days 11–13: attempt mixed timed sets, including previously missed concepts. Days 14–15: practise only high-value gaps and rehearse exam-day logistics.

Before beginning, select a measurable goal: for example, reduce incorrect answers in one clearly named concept, explain a passage more accurately, or complete a comparable timed set without sacrificing correctness. Write the goal down and review it after practice. This makes your next session more focused than choosing a random activity simply because it is available.

Example: put the method into practice

If you miss three questions on percentage change, solve one full example slowly: an increase from 80 to 100 equals 20/80 × 100 = 25%, not 20%. Then try a different percentage-change question without referring to the first solution.

Try the approach without looking at an existing answer, then change one important condition or use a different question from the same concept. If the method stops working, locate the missing assumption and study that idea before repeating more questions. A useful explanation tells you why an answer follows, not merely which option was selected.

Mistakes to avoid

Avoid consuming the last two days with brand-new difficult chapters or taking repeated full mocks without reviewing why you lost marks.

Another trap is treating every incorrect response as the same type of error. A forgotten fact needs active recall; a flawed method needs a worked explanation; a rushed misread needs a deliberate checking routine. Choose the remedy that matches the underlying cause and record uncertain guesses even when the chosen option happens to be correct.

What to check after your next session

Keep a one-page list of remaining errors, essential formulas and practical exam reminders; judge improvement from fresh-question accuracy, not total hours.

Start with a manageable set, review it thoroughly and return to the concept after a delay. When accuracy on genuinely new material improves, progress to a wider mix of questions or greater time pressure. If it does not, revisit the prerequisite skill rather than simply attempting more of the same problems.
